People at the station that actually do something-- it blows your mind, doesn't it?

kristi walker-zoltek
[e-mail Kristi]

The newest of the newbies at the station, Kristi was hired after Mort left.  She is now the station manager, creating the playlists for the station and doing pretty much everything else to keep the station running.  In addition to her radio work, she is head of the video department for the high school.  She was hired because of her extraordinarily long name that Laurie has been known to mistake as "Zoltek-Walker" on more than a few occasions.

[e-mail Laurie]

The resident Fort Wayne Komets season ticket holder, Laurie has been at the station for a number of years as one of the “night managers.” These days, however, she’s moved up in the world as the Music Director, which means she’s in charge of adding the new tunes you hear! In addition, she creates liners, sends e-mails to record companies, designed this website, and sleeps on the job (okay, not really). She’s majoring in English/Communications education at IPFW, and hopes to teach radio at CCHS once she graduates from college. Loves hockey, John Mayer, Howie Day, and “The Office” on NBC.

dirk
[e-mail Dirk]

Has been at the station for a little over a year.  The other "Night Manager" who makes sure everything runs smoothly back at the studio during the games, as well as makes sure the game actually gets on air.  He adds songs, creates liners, and constantly checks JKRowling.com for updates (seriously, he does).  Will be attending college after his senior year of high school to major in Harry Potterology.  He is the mastermind behind the "Rush Hour Rampage," first approaching Laurie and Tom about the idea just a few months after he started working.  Moriarty hired him because Dirk needed a job to maintain his Harry Potter addiction.
Favorite band(s):  Scissor Sisters, Weezer, Keane, Queen, the Beatles, Snow Patrol, the Shore, etc.
Favorite artist(s):  Elton John, Ben Folds, Michael Buble, Hilary Duff (just kidding!), Jack Johnson

Tim Moriarty
Always knew that there was a place for him somewhere in society, after being able to tell people that Frigid Pink also did a version of "House of the Rising Sun."  Favorite bands include R.E.M., XTC, Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe and Springsteen.  Thinks his kids (both at home and at school) are the best around.  Roots for the Cubs, Bears, and Irish!  He left September, 2004, and found a job at Fort Wayne Community Schools.

Tom Rentschler
Did way too many things at the station to give him a title. Called all the record companies to get the CDs you hear on The Eagle. Incredibly diverse taste in music. Once a country fan, then classic rock, and loved what he did at WJHS. He and his wife (a member of C.C.H.S. faculty) are proud parents of two young sons. Moriarty hired him because he said he could get Irish and Cubs tickets for him.
